Doing some conducting with the Windham Orchestra over the next few weeks. Beating them into shape to play the Stravinsky Concerto in D and the 1919 Firebird suite. Very exciting, very fun, brilliant music, and wonderful people to work with.

I, along with the Windham Orchestra and our bench-makers (The Harmonic Forge), am the front page of the Brattleboro Reformer today, pushing the VY protesters to the side slightly on their big day. My big days with Music for Windham are tomorrow (Thursday, 3/22/2012) for the children’s concert and Sunday (3/25/2012, 3:00PM) at the Latchis Theatre in downtown Brattleboro, VT.

The Windham Orchestra is about to perform a work I’ve very recently created for them involving the whole of the community around them, from school children to new musical park benches. This is my first composition that uses a gestural system like Soundpainting, and it’s very appropriate for the situation at hand. I hope everything comes out wonderfully.

A date and venue have finally been confirmed for the premiere performance of my nearly 11 hour work for 2 pianos, Beatus Vir. Molly Wood, Luke Berryman and myself will be playing.

Halloween, Friday 31 October 2008, begining at 9:00 AM, in the gallery of the College of Fine Arts, Boston University, 855 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA

Progress is also under way for a possible performance in Great Brittian, most likely in the vacinity of Oxford University.
