A date and venue have finally been confirmed for the premiere performance of my nearly 11 hour work for 2 pianos, Beatus Vir. Molly Wood, Luke Berryman and myself will be playing.
Halloween, Friday 31 October 2008, begining at 9:00 AM, in the gallery of the College of Fine Arts, Boston University, 855 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA
Progress is also under way for a possible performance in Great Brittian, most likely in the vacinity of Oxford University.
A new edition of
Lilt a Bolero is off the presses, signed and numbered, and available to you, the consumer, for a tiny sum of 10 (ten) dollars, plus whatever it may cost to get the book to you.
The Violin Sonata is coming along very nicely, despite massive setbacks. The first two movements are done, minus editing, and the remainder of the piece is in contemplation.
Finished Beatus Vir, the 10-hour epic for two pianos, and am now seeking out a venue in the Boston area that has two pianos and will let me have it for long enough to play the entire piece.
Hybrid Groove Project is an incredibly hip new music ensemble, based outta Baltimore. Their “Anthem,” the first track that comes up on their front page, is a great run through the new music scene.
Call him Judas if you want
